If your water meter is in a driveway or sidewalk, and you are planning to replace the concrete, please contact the District ahead of time. Bancroft Clover will send a technician out to evaluate your meter pit and determine if the height needs to be adjusted or if any traffic rated components need to be installed before the concrete is poured.
Adjusting the meter pit height ahead of time helps ensure the surface is level and the meter pit does not present a trip or fall hazard. Our technician can also work with your contractor to ensure your new concrete does not seal the meter pit. If the meter pit is sealed by the concrete, your walk or driveway may be damaged when the lid is opened for maintenance or repair.
There is no charge for this consultation and appointments can be scheduled by calling the District office at 303-922-1113.
