Disposing of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in the public sewer system can contribute to sewer blockages, sanitary sewer overflows, and backups.
To help limit the amount of FOG in the sanitary sewer system, Bancroft-Clover has a program which establishes uniform policies for pumping, cleaning, and maintaining grease interceptors.
The safe and efficient maintenance of a grease trap is essential in order to properly protect the public from possible hazards caused by sanitary sewer overflows and to reduce the costs to the public and District from clogged sewer lines due to fats, oils, and grease build up.
