The Bancroft Clover Water & Sanitation District held its annual Rate Hearing on December 13th, 2021. The District was on pace to close 2021 debt free and in a healthy financial position. After carefully considering rising costs throughout the broader economy and changing water use patterns, the Board elected not to raise rates in 2022.
The Board also adjusted the existing tiered rates to reflect changes in residential use. Water used in the first tier is intended to cover typical indoor use. The volume allowed in the first tier was increased from three to five thousand gallons. With this change, residential ratepayers will see a small decrease in their water bill monthly when using four to five thousand gallons monthly. In recognition of the increasing value of water in our semi-arid climate, the threshold for the tier four was lowered from 31,000 gallons to 26,000 gallon monthly.
