Q: What if I am planting new grass seed or sod?
A: A 21-day exemption may be granted for new seed or sod. Please contact the District office to apply for an exemption. If granted an exemption, customers must still follow the annual watering rules and are responsible for increased costs associated with higher water use.
Q: What if I live in a Homeowners Association (HOA)?
A: Common areas may only be water on Tuesdays and Fridays. Homes that have their own irrigation systems follow the schedule for single family homes.
Q: What if I see someone watering on the wrong day or wasting water?
A: You can contact the District office at 303-922-1113 or support@bancroftclover.com
Q: Can I still wash my car during the drought?
A: Personal cars may be washed using a bucket, a hand-held hose equipped with an automatic shutoff nozzle or at a commercial car-wash. Fleet vehicles may be washed no more than once a week, unless public health and safety require more frequent washing.
Q: What resources are available to help me save water?
A: District customers are eligible to participate in Denver Water’s commercial and residential rebate programs and Resource Central’s Garden in a Box program. You can also learn more about installing water-wise landscaping with this DIY landscape guide and these landscape focused videos.
Q: Will golf courses be required to reduce watering
A: There are no golf courses within Bancroft Clover’s boundaries. However, golf courses supplied by Denver Water or one of its distributors will be placed on a reduced water budget. Due to their size, golf courses may be allowed to water on additional days but must still stay within their budget.
