In early April, the District’s contractor began the second phase of construction on the W. Jewell Ave. water and sewer line project. The Phase II construction zone is between S. Wadsworth Blvd. and S Allison St. Construction is expected to wrap up on July 1 of this year. The project includes the replacement of 3,000 feet of sewer line and 3,100 feet of water line. These facilities are over 50 years old and are being increased in size to provide additional fire flow capacity and wastewater capacity. Please drive carefully when driving through the work area.
