In recent years, the financial cost to produce and deliver paper bill statements to our customers has steadily risen. The cost to produce and mail a paper statement is now $1.50 per statement each month. With nearly ten-thousand customer accounts, paper statements represent a substantial, recurring monthly expense.
In response to these increasing costs, Bancroft Clover has incentivized paperless bill adoption and implemented other cost saving measures such reducing the frequency of newsletters. In July, the USPS increased first class postage by an additional 6.8%. The Bancroft Board is now considering additional steps to manage these costs and reduce their impact on rates. Among the alternatives being considered is instituting a monthly charge for customers receiving a paper bill.
The paper bill charge discussion will be on the agenda at the September 22, 2025, Board meeting. The Board meeting is open to the public and you may attend in person or virtually. Board meetings are held at 6:00pm at 900 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226.
