Making sure you are using water efficiently is one of the most important things you can do the help reduce the likelihood of forced cuts to Colorado’s water allocation. Here are some resources to help you use water more effeciently:
Follow summer watering rules
The summer watering rules are in effect between May 1 and October 1. The rules incorporate industry best practices designed to help keep landscapes healthy during our warm, dry summers. https://www.denverwater.org/residential/rebates-and-conservation-tips/summer-watering-rules
Perform periodic leak audits
Sprinkler system and toilet leaks are two of the most common types of leaks. Checking for many of these leaks is quick, easy to do.
Sprinkler systems are often set to run late at night or early in the morning when leaks can go unseen. Running each zone during the day and visually inspecting the zone for broken heads or puddles is a great way to find these leaks.
Toilets are the most common source of indoor leaks. Worn or misaligned flapper valves, stuck chains and mis-aligned floats can allow water to leak from the tank.
Tips on indoor leak audits for bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms can be found here:

Consider installing more efficient fixtures and irrigation components
The national Water Sense program labels water efficient products that have been independently certified for efficiency and performance. Finding and installing Water Sense products can help you save water without sacrificing performance.
In addition, Bancroft Clover partners with Denver Water to allow District customers to take advantage of rebates on water efficient products.
